The Trefoil was the second Adidas logo, following the three stripes. The Adidas Trefoil logo shows a leaf above the word Adidas, with the famous three stripes running horizontally through it. Adidas chose this logo because they wanted something to show how large their brand had grown and that it was more diverse than ever, whilst still keeping the classic Adidas look.Products within the Trefoil range include t-shirts, vests, shorts, gloves, caps, bucket hats and jogging bottoms. Variations on the Trefoil logo are visible on all of these products, in various designs such as black and white, and with eccentric patterns and colours within the logo. Adidas Originals is one of the sub-brands which uses the Trefoil logo, as it covers sports fashion styles with references to the decades between 1940 to 1980. Until 1997, the Trefoil logo was used on all products, but now is reserved for only heritage productsgiving it a vintage and unique look.
