About Reebok
Reebok is first and foremost a sports brand, originally founded by Joseph William Foster in 1900 who developed spiked running shoes which soon became popular with sports persona, including British athletes at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. Reebok remains close to its athletic origins, continuing to sponsor teams today in sports including football, cricket, basketball, rugby and tennis.History of ReebokIt wasnt until 1958 that the brand name Reebok was coined, derived from the Afrikaans term rhebok, a type of African antelope. Hailing from Great Britain, the Union Jack flag was the initial Reebok logo which was replaced in 1986 with the creation of the now signature Vector logo, an abstract take on Union Jack and race track imagery.
